Breathtaking Waterfalls is among the main tourist attraction in Andhra Pradesh

The geographical build of India has always managed to remain in news or sometimes as a part of several discussions. India is not only blessed with such diverse geography but also with ‘the people’, who are equally different on the basis of their cultures and rituals.  The way, Mountain Ranges, valleys and never ending Himalayan Rivers majorly contribute in the landscape of Northern India, similarly Waterfalls in Andhra Pradesh not only contribute in beautifying the landscape of Southern India but also possess equal importance to southern Indian subcontinent.

Waterfalls in Andhra Pradesh

Now, you must be thinking that why I have only considered Waterfalls in Andhra Pradesh only?

Right??

It is just that, recently, I decided to visit this wonderful southern state of India for the third time as every time I visit here I completely get mesmerised by its abundant natural beauty. I was adamant and wanted to start my journey after visiting Kuntala waterfall, which is also said to be highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh. By wondering the beauty that nature god has bestowed upon earth, I decided to explore all the famous waterfalls of Andhra Pradesh.

Kuntala waterfall is located in the middle of dense forest of Sahayadri Mountain ranges, which makes it more lucrative among the international tourists. Reaching here is not that difficult as this is a well known place in Adilabad District of Andhra Pradesh. It is just 57 km away from Adilabad City and just 12 kms and 42 kms away from Neredgonda and Nirmal Town respectively. I decided to visit this waterfall via Adilabad City, as I stayed in one of the hotels available there. It is also said that this waterfall got its name from the mother of King Bharata i.e. Shakuntala.

I made the most of my trip by soaking in the beauty of yet another waterfall in the state - Pochera waterfalls, since it is nearer to Kuntala fall. Although the height of Pochera waterfall (20 meters) is just half of Kuntala fall (45 meters), but the eco sounds it produced due to splashing up of waters against the rocks was harmonious to my ears.

Since i had limited time, I decided to catch a glimpse of Sirnapally Waterfalls which is also famously known as Niagara Waterfalls of Telangana. This waterfall is situated at Sirnapally village of Dharpalle Mandal of Nizamabad district. This place was equally worth visiting for, as I got completely spellbound by its beauty.

I wish I could stay there for a little longer, but due to few pre-commitments, I had to catch my train to Delhi.
